Easy GIF Animator is intended to create animations for your web pages. It has a modern interface, in the style of the latest versions of Microsoft Office. Fortunately, there are wizards to guide you. In this respect, I do not think anyone can have problems to use, even for the first time. Still, if you find any difficulties, it is a good idea to consult the excellent help documentation, which even contains some tutorials.
The program creates two basic types of objects: animated banners and buttons, and you can start from scratch or use the corresponding wizard. Likewise, it is possible to generate an animation from a video. It supports frame-by-frame animation. This means that you edit your animation sequence in the same way you do with a slideshow. The tool lets you import external pictures, but there is also an extensive clipart library; what is more, it is even possible to download extra images from the developer’s site. It is a pity that the program does not have a built-in picture editor, so you need to use your system’s default tool instead. After importing the graphics, you can insert transition effects between them. It is also good that you can apply some effects, like sparkle, animated text, and reverse animation. Finally, you can adjust various parameters, such as the number of loops and transition speed.
When the editing work is done, you can save the animation in various formats, including GIF, Flash, and AVI. Likewise, you can export each frame as a separate image file. Finally, the program can save you the effort of writing the HTML code needed to insert the object in a webpage.
All in all, Easy GIF Animator really helps you create nice animations for websites. Its main limitation is that you can only edit frames one by one. Unlike other tools, it does not support key-frame animations or using layers. The product is free to try for a number of times but leaves a watermark on the resulting images.
